PaperWorks Pack 2 is an interactive resource designed to support elements of the Science curriculum, in particular mixing, sieving and separating within the making of paper. The creation of paper pulp is a key part of the papermaking process and is a superb example of scientific concepts applied to a crucial everyday process.
Paper’s influence on society is also discussed. Pupils will learn about the history of papermaking and printing.
Most importantly, the pack explores the importance of recycling and paper recovery in the papermaking process and provides some video demonstrations to help support your science teaching.
Learning Objectives
Pupils will learn the properties of paper as a material and how it mixes with others. They will learn how to separate solids and liquids through making paper and practice using scientific terminology.
